Zen Garden at the Museum of Fine Arts – Mary Buchinger

rocks nose the air
speak back to the sun
betray an open understanding of light

broad leaves shelter stone
stone softened by moss
pines watch over   alert   aloof

boulders bloom beards of algae
what suffers doesn’t live here
whatever is brought is borne

grey and green reveal
an endlessness
beside processions of gravel
