Touchstones – Darla McBryde

Yesterday we gathered agate, cinnabar,
blossoms of quartz under a faultless sky
landscapes caught in jasper
a volcanic bouquet now
spread out on the table
like memories of vibrant suns
this universe of moons
orbits my wanderlust
the gravity of longing pulls
worlds into my hands.
