7.23, and today the train
leaves without me. Through my tears
sun carves mountains
out of night, sea out of light,
spectrum of love becomes me,
and my heart asks how they lead
an outwardly normal life,
as the seaward noises say they do,
when the sunrise cuts so deep.
Tomorrow
they can be here,
in the moment
at 7.25.
