Sorrow Bed – Kimberly L. Becker

The bed you made
of sorrow,
circling like a dog
to find your place,
turning until it was
tamped down
just right—
instinct of dogs
who used to sleep
in grass
like wolves—
The bed you made
of sorrow,
circling before
settling,
that is the most
comfortable bed
It fits you
it becomes you
and you’ve become
that bed,
frame to frame
