Perhaps it is an indiscretion
from those who can afford
the luxury of insecurity,
a clumsy attempt at pasting
a solution over an inquiry.
Questions itch
and one answer chafes
against another.
Neighbors form uneasy alliances
and whatever is hammered out
—too big for any single chicken—
forms the new wobble in the egg
where we reside,
for now.
